Pronto / polyester plate printing question

One of my online printmaking buddies is having trouble with printing Z Acryl plates. Basically, when she sprays the plate (which has litho crayon, and sharpie on it) with solution (5 parts water to 1 part gum arabic), then sponges, the litho crayon wipes away (sharpie stays).Any suggestions? There seem to be a lot of people here who use pronto plates, so I thought I'd ask just in case. Thanks!See More

hey, thanks for the info on the making my own inks.
I visited some friends at spark box studio in Picton ontario, and took some of my pigments.
We found just using a rubber trans base and really working it into the powdered pigments it worked really well.

Also thanks for the Guerra Paint & Pigment link- they are really good, cheap and have a ton more colors. THANKS!

Hey Amie, I am trying out Akua inks. One layer down and I love them so far! This might be weird, but I like the way they stir up with my palette knife! Nice consistency! Next time I have a little extra cash, I will try out Daniel Smith. Thanks so much for all your recommendations!

Ok, I sent you a list of screen printing suppliers. They are US based but I could with time grow it out internationally for you.
